This is true. This is from an article that Mickeyblogs posted this morning, "According to Disney’s internal refurbishment calendar, the Tomorrowland PeopleMover will remain closed throughout the month of April, missing what appeared to be a nearly certain April 4th reopening."

Oh wow! I hope this is true. I am staying at Coronado from Thursday-Sunday and will be at MK on sunday. Having the best MK Ride reopen on Easter sunday would be amazing!

While I want to believe that they're still working all the bugs out, the cynical part of me says that the April 4th reopening can't quite be made because of some minor thing, maybe a week late or so, and Disney pushed the reopening back to May just to be safe. Now, when they open it before the revised date, they'll look like heroes! Like I said, cynical, but Disney has always been a master at marketing & spin.

I was thinking that. It certainly isn't a good sign....

Some people are speculating Disney is not opening it, due to Covid-19 distancing guidelines, and difficulties that ride causes. I think it is related to two personal injury lawsuits filed last year, after the ride was shut down. Plaintiff is claiming permanent injuries. The delay has to be related to the lawsuit.

I dunno why I’m shocked that it was pushed out further. You know what?! At this point, I don’t wanna hear any more about it “supposedly” opening. I’ll get excited when Im actual on it with Josh and Jenna.

Yeah it was really unfortunate that MULTIPLE Facebook groups were posting the ride was opening, with literally ZERO official announcement from Disney. IDK if they saw the Cast Members training, the trains running that just made them think it was going to open this weekend ... you can think that, but to post that as an announcement in a FB group is troubling and not fair to people who read it and think it's actually true. This is the 3rd time Disney has waited until ~3 days before the pending re-opening date for the ride ... and before each one of those delays, we saw CM's training and such going on.

This ride will come back, but don't believe one thing until you see it officially posted on one of the several Disney Parks related twitter accounts, Instagram accounts and/or on the Disney Parks Blog.

I really hope they get it up and running again. With all the knowledge and expertise at WDW, there’s no way they can’t fix it.
