Avengers Campus - The Anticipation

When Disney announced a new "superhero land" coming to DCA I pictured a generally themed land where you could meet not only Captain America and Spiderman but characters like Dark Wing Duck and Big Hero Six too. On learning that it would be exclusively Avengers I was a little disappointed. "Not another IP land" I thought. But recently I watched a video by DSNY Newscast that did an in depth report on the new Spiderman ride, "Web Slingers". It's pretty impressive and now I find myself looking forward to seeing the campus some day and experiencing what's there.

How do you feel about Avengers Campus? Have you always looked forward to it or were you like me and it took some warming up to?
Are you looking forward to anything specific (the ride, oversized food at the PYM Test Kitchen, meet and greets, the merchandise)?
Or are you an Avengers enthusiast who can't wait to experience it all?

I haven't been to Disneyland since I was seven years old, but I hope to go back after Avengers Campus opens! I've wanted to anyway, but I'm a big enough Marvel fan that I'm looking forward to seeing it in concrete form. (also, I still have not forgiven them for killing my hero Tony off, so being able to step into a timeline that is NOT movie canon is especially appealing. lol)

I'd like to try some of the fun food & beverage offerings at Pym Test Kitchen like that huge chicken sandwich and the Pym-ini. Also, the cream puff filled with raspberry cheesecake mousse from the food cart there looks yummy.

Also very curious about the stunt show with the Avengers vs Taskmaster on the roof of Avengers Headquarters.

Though honestly, I was more excited about the land when they first announced the development of the Avengers E-ticket ride with the new ride system back in 2019, but who knows if that will happen anytime soon, if at all now.

I'm looking forward to Avengers Campus. I think Disney will open the area once they can have a higher capacity. Maybe sometime in the Summer they can open it. No later than the Fall I think.

Is that a hint to the West Coast Crew? I don't know about a live stream but considering all of the Disney YouTubers that are out there these days I have no doubt that there will be cameras galore at the opening of the campus.

This opening is one of those announcements that made me go "AAAHHH nuts!". Another family member and I are hoping to get reservations to the park sometime in May. Our personal schedules won't let us get down to Anaheim anytime after that. So I'm hoping there will be Halloween parties later this year that will give me an excuse to spend the money so that I can experience the campus and Spiderman ride then. Meanwhile, come June 4th, I'll be searching YouTube also.

I'm interested in seeing what it's like. Been catching up on all these characters so I know more about them. But still pretty sad that Bugs land was evicted. We loved that land!! My boys grew up with that there.

I’ll be honest, I’ve never really gotten into Marvel stuff, but holy cow!! The preview of Avengers Campus looks pretty epic!! I can’t wait to go exploring!!
