Hey crew,
Looking for some advice to an upcoming stay at the Wilderness Lodge. This is by far our favorite resort on property. On our last trip to Wilderness Lodge transportation for rope drops at the parks was difficult to figure out. Disney is stating on the app that boats start running 30 min prior to park opening, I am guessing buses are the same.
Has anyone recently stayed at the Wilderness lodge and can provide tips and tricks/best practice for getting to rope drops? Are the boats running earlier than posted? Hitchhiking to TTC?
I will update the thread on our trip in two weeks with best practices as well.

We stayed at WL in January. If you're rope dropping, don't rely on the boats. Most mornings, the line for the boat was excessively long due to the limited number of passengers it holds.mrdobson1 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 7:10 am Hey crew,

The boat is fantastic if you're getting to the park mid-day and want to start that day off with a slow, relaxing boat ride.

Re: Wilderness Lodge Transportation Questions
Great resort!
On a recent trip they seemed to be running the first busses 1 hour prior to scheduled park opening. They are talking about Extra Magic 30 minutes early for resort guests...so we might expect the busses to adjust their 1 hour prior time when that occurs...
With that said...everyone knows that....so the line to get on the bus starts to form early....and with bus occupancy limited you could end of having to wait for a later bus
The typical time between busses is 20 minutes...but they might run them a bit more frequently at the beginning of the day.
Lastly, when we were there in mid January, the 'Time to Next Bus" displays at the bus stops were not displaying...well....the times to the next bus.
Hope you have a great visit!

Pre-Covid, I would take the bus from the Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom to get there for rope drop. It's a pretty quick bus ride over.

I believe Boulder Ridge and Copper Creek Villas are open, but the non-DVC rooms are not.
