All the talk of the lines for the Skyliner make me a little worried about getting to the park at opening. We are only there for 4 days, one day per park. So I don't want to waste time waiting of the Skyliner or buses. I am thinking maybe it would be better to just rent a car and stay at a cheaper hotel. What are all your thoughts? I love the idea of the convenience of the Skyliner.
I'm a big off property fan, especially right now with no real benefit. Driving gives me the comfort of control, and you can rent an entire house on VRBO for under $100 a night, with a personal pool.
If you plan for the Skyliner line, and have one person get in line earlier, it's not bad. Plus it's a cool experience.
With limited park hours right now, I totally get your point, too.

When I stayed at Pop in Sept 2020, we waited an hour+ each time.

My biggest drawback on Pop is at Springs. It's the furthest bus stop to board back to a hotel, and it's a hike of a walk. But Disney isn't dumb. The bus stops everywhere, parks included, are setup by cost of resort. So the budget ones are the longest walks

The pull down bed was convenient enough to eat meals and to give the room a more spacious feel. The only con was the noise it was a bit loud where we could always hear when the people next to us came back into their room or when they were running around trying to get ready in the morning. Other than that it was great. The themeing is awesome..

Seems like there was plenty of room, too!! I heard the rooms ran a little small, which is way we kinda shied away from POP, but not from what I’m seeing! Now I’m reconsidering for the future! :)

How is the wifi (wireless internet access) at Pop Century?
And the nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize goes too...

When we were there in November 2019 we had no issues. We stayed in the 70s section on the second floor.
Every evening when we returned to the room we had someone relaxing and watching YouTube. (He switches videos often and noticed no lag)

You can walk over to Arts of Animation which is another fun resort. It has three pools, but no pool slides. I hope to be down there in late 2021 or 2022. I'm just waiting for the parks to return to normal. I really recommend this resort.
I know it is not as spread out as other resorts, but it feels spread out when you get a room at the farthest building in the 90s section and your knee keeps locking up.
