Guardians Of the Galaxy Epcot

Can anyone give me information on what the guardians of the galaxy thing is that they are working on at Epcot? Thanks!!

It is going to be a indoor rollercoaster based on the Guardian of the Galaxy movies. The old Energy pavillion building will contain the queue, pre-show load and unload, and the coaster will launch into the new building that was built behind the old one. It will use a technology where the coaster car can rotate throughout the ride. Probably will not open until sometime in 2022.

The project is also rumored to have the single most expensive budget for one attraction that Disney has ever done in it's history. The rumored price tag is in the four-hundred to four-hundred-fifty million dollar range. This is unconfirmed and just speculation of course, but even if it is true Disney is notorious for planning huge and then scaling back and cutting cost near the project completion. With the current climate who knows how much Disney may shave off the construction budget of the project. Also wide speculation is that this attraction will not open in 2021. I tend to agree with this prediction. Hopefully this will open sometime in 2022.
