Walt was a Demolay. He never joined the Freemasons but there’s plenty of things in wdw that are tied to the numbers 13 and 33. Look for number of characters in a certain spot, club 33, leaves on certain plants, number on the clock in the haunted mansion,etc...

I don't know if this is strictly a fun fact...but I'm sure you've heard the myth that Walt was one of the first people to be cryogenically frozen?
However Cory(CMW) did a recent live stream from California visiting Walt's grave so I can hardly see the rumour is correct...
I wonder how the idea got started going though?

The eyes and right ear are still there; the nose got lost at some point when they reworked the landscaping on the plaza in front of the Chinese Theater (maybe when they put the hat in for the 100 Years of Magic celebration in 2001?) and the left ear didn't survive long at all between the construction of Sunset Blvd and the building behind the Brown Derby getting re-roofed.

Cool idea, though, and one you'd never even realize was there from ground level.

Here's an indirect fun fact...I used to live in a town called Urmston in Manchester, England not far from Liverpool by Florida standards...
When the Beatles were just starting out I was told they performed at the Urmston fair a hundred metres or so from where I lived before Ringo was the drummer!

Cliff Richard was supposed to have visited our school also, to evangelise, but I don't know if that was true either because I'd left by the time he did...

This is a little known fact but it is completely true. Very few people realize this but it has been confirmed with imagineering in multiple sources. The fact is this: Every doorknob on property is 100% compostable. They are made from recycled keratin, harvested from stalky crops and big cat claw trimmings from animal kingdom. The materials are smelted by hand in a small facility located beneath the haunted mansion. I have personally seen the process, and it takes anywhere between 2 and 6 hours to produce each knob. This keeps the parks healthy and green for future generations to enjoy!
