Re: Any RunDisney fans out there
Me! We tried to do the Wine and Dine and Star Wars weekends this year but they were both cancelled. Understandably so but I’d love to do another race! We did the Princess Half Marathon weekend back in 2018

Me!!! I did the Princess weekend in 2018, but was injured so I got swept during the half I've had my foot in the boot, and PT throughout 2019 and unfortunately still haven't been able to get back to running. It makes me sad because I really enjoyed it.

RunDisney
Anyone else missing RunDisney?
Other races just don't have the same magic for me.
My last race weekend trip in January was made complete when I met Josh and Jenna during a livestream near Peter Pan.

Re: Any RunDisney fans out there
Missing them so much. The energy from the other runners, the cast members, fireworks, the music, the cool mile markers, the character stops, riding Everest during the Marathon, running down Main Street with the Castle all lit up and hundreds of people cheering you on, crying when you finally reach the red phone booths in Epcot and realize that will actually finish the Marathon. I miss all of this.
Oh and the medals aren't bad either.
(sorry mods for starting another similar thread, I didn't see this one when I searched initially)

I think the medals are always great and the best part getting to wear them to the park

Re: RunDisney
Yup, hubby and I miss it. Especially since Disneyland hasn't had them for quite awhile.

Re: RunDisney
Definitely. The Star Wars race was supposed to be my fifth one which meant legacy. I had been doing at least one Disney race a year and miss them greatly.

I’ve always wanted to try a rundisney event but never managed to get my trips to match up. Last time we actually planned to be in DLP our plans fell through and then last year and this year, the same, understandably.
As much as I would love to take part in the virtual races, I’d really love to join in, in person, when it’s safe again.

Re: Any RunDisney fans out there
I LOVE RUN DISNEY! I have run the 5k and marathon in 2011, 5k, half, and marathon in 2012. Disneyland half 2012, disney 5k and marathon in 2013. Wine and dine 5k and half in 2015. I have also done 3 years of the summer virtual and just did the virtual 10k. Unfortunately I hurt my back a few years ago and pretty much walk the virtual races the last few ywars. But I would love to run in another race on property. It was the best experience I have ever had with a run event.

What I like to do is join a Galloway pace group for me it is more enjoyable and you have people to talk too

Re: RunDisney
So much fun! Did 26.2 miles back in January 2018. Only afterwards, when talking to another runner while waiting in line for FOP, was I informed that you can “ride rides” during the race. Might have to try that next time, whenever that may be . . .
Nothing Can Stop Us Now
Re: RunDisney
Yes I have never rode rides during a race always wanted too as well. Always to focused on the race itself

I have done the princess half several times. I was signed up for the Wine and Dine this past November, which went virtual. I miss these races so much!
