Wilderness Lodge
The Wilderness Lodge is the coolest place at the happiest place on earth. They built a hotel that resembles a hotel in the Northwest in the Southeast perfectly. They created a lobby that towers overhead with animal carvings of tiny animals that scurry under feet. They made the focus a fireplace while they blast the air conditioning. They carved and stained an artistic homage to the cowboy spirit while maintaining the free feel of the Native American traditions. They designed a water flow from inside to out, from stream to fall, from pool to bay, and ends in a geyser. They have screaming waiters, Dopey characters, and elegant water views while you eat. The Wilderness Lodge is my favorite hotel if for no other reason then the Mickey Mouse Totem pole.

Re: Wilderness Lodge
WL is a beauty for sure! It certainly as escape from the hustle bustle of WDW and you don’t feel like you’re anywhere near FL!
IMHO, we prefer it before the addition of CC and the destruction of the “quiet pool.”

The Wilderness Lodge is my home resort and we love it! It's breathtaking! I wish I could take the smell of the lodge home with me in a bottle. I can't wait to come back home.

Re: Wilderness Lodge
This is one of the few resorts my wife and I make a point to visit each and every trip. We have stayed here once for a short stay in one of the Cascade Cabins actually with some family that has DVC. We couldn't believe it and really hope we can do that again sometime!
Geyser Point has become one of our favorite outdoor lounges; you can't beat the ambiance! They did incredible at this resort, including the DVC additions. Great food and great beverages every time.
Here are some photos from our last visit in Feb 2020 - it was a BEAUTIFUL evening before Villains After Hours at Magic Kingdom. What a night to remember!

I love Wilderness Lodge! Cannot wait to go back! Hanging by the waterfall in the pool is one of my favorite places to be! Enjoying my coffee down by the lake is another favorite spot! Just the best resort!

For me, the best moment at the Wilderness Lodge is was drinking Wilderness Bark Coffee (coffee with Nutella) in front of the fireplace.brenda wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 8:37 am I love Wilderness Lodge! Re: Wilderness Lodge
My sister is a DVC member. The last time I was at Disney World, we spent an afternoon at the pool at Wilderness Lodge followed by drinks and hors d'oeuvres at the DVC lounge there. I was quite impressed with what I saw of the resort.

We have been looking at DVC at the Wilderness for years now but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. We only hear great things!

My absolute favorite! My only wish is that it was on the monorail line, but at least it has the boat transportation.

Re: Wilderness Lodge
We are looking forward to staying at Wilderness Lodge in mid-July. I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts on what the crowds may look like at that time. This will be my family's first trip to Disney World. We decided to make the trip out from Pasadena this summer since we aren't able to go to Disneyland or DCA. Also, anyone know the approximate time it takes to get to the Magic Kingdom by boat from the Wilderness Lodge? Thanks!
