Boat ride from Magic Kindom

Postby Cobbler » Sat Apr 02, 2022 5:52 pm

We are planning on taking the boat from Magic Kindom to Wilderness Lodge but we have a question. We are taking someone who is wheelchair bound and we would like to make sure that the boat is wheelchair accessible. We tried contacting Disney, but they just said to ask the cast member at the boat. We would like to find out before we make reservations to the Whispering Canyon restaurant. Would someone on this forum be willing to ask a cast member about accessibility of the boats for us?

We stayed at Fort Wilderness in January and took the boat to and from Magic Kingdom. One of the trips to Magic Kingdom a guest was in a wheelchair and was able to get on and off the boat with no issues. I am curious to see responses for Wilderness Lodge as well. Hopefully someone will be able to find out for you.

Thanks for the info. We are just going to go for it and make the reservation. It would just be nice if the cast members would put a little more effort into it.

Ok, got an update from my in-laws. The small single deck boats are not wheelchair accessible. The larger double deckers are accessible. So all depends on which boat you are trying to get on.
