can never change.
While i know Walt said the park would forever be evolving( and i love that this is the case) it makes me wonder the following question
I am curious is there is a ride or an attraction, that for you would be consider unforgivable to remove or re-theme.

Peter Pan. It’s not the most technically advanced attraction, but it has a charm to it that many attractions do not. There is one scene that I wouldn’t be surprised or angered to see changed as long as it stays true to the film. I’d be upset to see this attraction leave the park though.

Most definitely Peter Pan is such a classic and very popular ride at both Disneyland and WDWWilderness_Explorer wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 4:40 pm Peter Pan. As much as I would like to say that I have one I don't. My real problem is what WDW is doing right now-charging the same prices or in some cases more for less services.

Pirates. Small changes are OK I guess but a retheming or removal would be Sacrilege.

Re: can never change.
I'd say pretty much all the ones that Walt approved of should never be changed/removed
Pirates
Jungle Cruise
Haunted Mansion
Peter Pan
It's a Small World
If you ask me, to remove those would sort of be an insult to Walt's memory

Re: can never change.
For me it would be Carousel of Progress. One of the originals from the NY World's Fair (I forget the year - '62?). Except for the last scene. Please Disney, for all that is right & decent in this world, update this scene! I'm tired of being stuck in the 20th century with Grandma & the "laser blasters"! Of course, the others previously mentioned are on my list too...

I agree with much of what has already been said. From the West Coast point of view, I dont like how they are building the Marvel universe into DCA. They removed A Bug's Land from what is now basically a Pixar park. It fit the theme and offered something for kids. It is nice to have Marvel in the Hollywood area, but not to subtract from what we already had.

Re: can never change.
Interesting question. I recently watched a show about nostalgia and how powerful it is .. particularly emotionally .. but also isolated to specific generations of people. Obviously, you have to balance the business of Disney going forward with Walt's original ideas .. but as everyone has seen over the past few years, the world is changing and it thinks differently now. The Zeitgeist seems to be one of constant progress at all costs .. to see what is possible, regardless of side effects. I hope Disney retains its originality and core values but again, its a business and exists to satisfy the shareholders. Good luck, Disney!!
Pontification aside, i hope the original (and longer) dark rides in MK all stay close to their original designs - HM and PoTC, specifically.

Exactly my thoughts. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean that you should do it. Disney needs to remember that.MrSlash00R wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 8:42 am Interesting question... I was so bummed when they moved this from Disneyland to WDW. So glad I still get to see it though!Brad192 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 1:35 pm For me it would be Carousel of Progress. I didn’t know the Carousel was moved from the NY World’s Fair to Disneyland to WDW. Wow! It has quite a history.Brewbud wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 3:04 pmI was so bummed when they moved this from Disneyland to WDW. Sadly, I know this will eventually change.. But the innoventions music in Epcot. It's one of those songs that immediately make me feel happy. It also makes me think of when Epcot was more oriented towards innovation and the future rather than IP.
