Planning on visiting in either September or November (havent decided yet). Any idea how the room remodel at the Polynesian is going? We always wanted to stay there but are anxious about the rooms being done on time.

You will LOVE the Poly. Resort room renos are slated to be completed in the summer. Availability is showing beginning the last week in July. They are being completely gutted right down to the studs!

I have a reservation In November. since the 50th starts in October the Polynesian remodeling should be done

Per the usually-changing-self-imposed deadlines Disney World set for the Poly updates (rooms, water area and largest front entrance/monorail updates), that work should be done by summer this year, before Oct 1st 50th anniversary. I would think with the incredible progress we are seeing made on the largest front entrance area already, that it's looking good to hitting that summer deadline. The room upgrades have been going on since October I believe so I imagine they are also coming along nicely.

I also think due to this being one of the TWO resorts that were there on opening day 50 years ago, Disney wants to make sure they are ready for their big birthday on Oct 1. I would expect both Poly and Contemporary to be looking stunning by that date and ready for some awesome celebrations.

I am booked for Halloween weekend at the Poly this October! I am hoping the fun of the 50th will still be around and maybe the Halloween Party??? #wishfulthinking
