It's worth it for the atmosphere. It's a bit pricey for the food though. It's worth going at least once. Try to see if you can get a table by the water so you can watch people go by on the ride boats. I took Crystal for her birthday a few years ago. The rolls are really good!

The food is very good. I’ve had the jambalaya and, of course, the monte cristo. You can get the monte cristo at cafe Orléans, but blue bayou has the wonderful atmosphere. For Christmas dinner 2019 we did blue bayou and they had an amazing prime rib meal. Even though it was just for that day it reminded me how good the food is because it had been a little while since I had eaten there. The setting has made me seek out Disney restaurants that do the outdoor inside theme which has led me to have Biergarten as one of my favorites.

I second to this. Such a beautiful place, ate there once with a large family gathering and was a best time. The food was excellent, awesome seating next to the water and was very relaxing. Service was top notch.

Defentely worth checking out. 😃

The menus is super limited, but other than the time I got food poisoning, lol... everything down to the salad was very good. It's very pricey, and hard to get into. We actually plan our Disneyland trips around out Bayou reservation.

We go there more for the atmosphere. The food isn’t bad, just not the best! 🍀 This is a photo of the eating area. It’s like sitting out on a huge Porch in front of a southern style plantation house!! It’s really pretty!!

i have many fond memories of gorging myself on a Monte Cristo sandwich there as an AP in the 1980s. Not sure if this is still how it works but, immediately after the rope drop, we would rush to the restaurant where a CM would be stationed at a podium outside handing out reservations on little cards :)

Good and bad experiences there.
Dinner Easily $50 a person + tax and tip.
Most the food is pre-prepared and sitting for a spell so it depends on the time you get served.

Monte Cristo is $30 now and that smarts. Food in Calif is taxable.

Agree...worth it as a classic Walt idea...food is good, not exotic...but good...and the ambiance. For those of you who are always frustrated trying to get 'dark ride' shots of the entrance to the catacombs...it does afford you the opportunity to take a 'standing still' shot of some of the attraction.

Enjoy you next visit! :D
