All I need for a meal is a big bowl of Fantasia, Walts favorite Ice Cream Flavor.

Cherry, pistachio, and banana swirled.

I don’t know about creating my own meal, but the fried chicken from Plaza Inn is sounding pretty good right now about.

Last sitting at Napa Rose Chef's Counter and let the chef decide!

But earlier that day one or two of these: a breakfast Chimi from the cart near BTM (if they still have the hot sauce) , a corn dog from Corn Dog Castle ,or Charcuterie Pizza from Craftsman lounge.

Meatloaf and mashed potatoes at the Carnation Cafe or a Monte Cristo at the Blue Bayou. $35 for the Monte Cristo with tax and tip. I remember when it was $7 and we thought it ravenously expensive!
The Clam Chowder bread bowl was rarely offered at the Plaza Inn but when it was people walking by saw us eating them and jumped into line to get one too. I think now it's a standard menu item at several Diz locations,, though a much, much smaller portion and a much much higher price.

Use to love the Jambalaya but they drastically changed the recipe,, now nothing like it was. I have the original recipe in my Mickey Mouse Cookbook and we enjoy it at home instead.

No walk-in's at the Carnation Cafe'. They are serious about reservations.
You may get a text a day later asking how you liked it.

The Monte Cristo is the same at Cafe Orleans. Sides may be different I think. I am thinking it was $18? They had dropped the gumbo and french onion soup the last couple times I was there though!

I would have liked to start my meal with the gumbo appetizer from the Blue Bayou, but since they don't serve that anymore, I'll instead go with:

Appetizer: Vietnamese Twice-cooked Beef Tacos, Carthay Circle Lounge (like 100 of these beautiful, crunchy babies. Keep 'em coming!)
Entree: Grilled Medallions of Beef, Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen (I mean, it comes with crawfish mashed potatoes and bacon & pecan-crusted green beans!)
Dessert: Dole Whip
Gate Snack: Bengal Barbeque chicken skewers

Now I'm hungry.
