BREAKING: DISNEYLAND: Tickets for the theme park reopening starts today. OMG. Can you believe CA is reopening DISNEY? This morning online, April 9, 2021. This is for single date tickets only. For CA Residents only.
April 15th. Park Reservations system for CA Residents only and Full Ticketing goes online for sale to include the office in-person customer service line.
I found this streamers video very helpful by "Five Fires". He answered questions this past week what rides are open and closing. The pricing including specific COVID questions. This Deadline Article from the press is helpful in information. In Florida, Apple is working with Disney to use iPhone as your magic band for ticketing. It's in a pilot program. California, is likely to try this out for guests entering the park for ticketing but please don't quote me on that information. I have family in Florida that shared that with me since I am a guest to.
April 30th. Disneyland will be for California Residents only at first for reopening due to COVID-19 restrictions with a limited capacity. VIP invites by Disney specifically for reopening and members of the Associate Media outlets for April 30th.
Reservations: Are required for everyone due to COVID-19. The park has a limited state capacity. The same goes for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. All guests must have a face mask mask on to enter and wear in the park all day, 100% of the time. Cast members do remind guests. You will be thrown out of Disney since they are obeying State Laws and its their property. Orlando, had a guest last weekend arrested. You can remove your mask to eat and drink in sitting down in areas including the free standing table areas. Trash cans in Florida people are using to eat on. You cannot eat or drink while walking in the parks, you will get questioned by cast members. It violates state COVID-19 rules.
RIDES: Press article explains what is open and what's closed early on for Disneyland. Some indoor rides are closed from COVID temporarily until the area changes its health level to being safe as people get vaccinated.

Re: BREAKING: DISNEYLAND TICKETS START TODAY 4/9
I plan on buying a 5 day ticket!! But, my only question is how long I'll have to use those tickets. I keep hearing 13 days to use them, but I'm not sure...I'm gonna keep doing some research. Either way I'm beyond excited!!! First stop, the train!!!!!

HI Nikki,
Yes is the answer to your question. Disneyland is doing it promotional for the reopening day and weekend to get people in the door. If you don't use them reopening, you have 13 days after April 30th. It says, "Unless otherwise stated, multi-day tickets or the April 9th single tickets must be used within 13 days or if they have an expiration date printed on them. Disneyland expected a heavy demand so they cut the time frame.
Lastly, if you waited to buy them on April 15th. They would be good all year long, as normal. Right now, April 30th is very close to selling out and Disneyland thought they could do that on April 9th.

8 hours. It took me 8 HOURS to get through. I didn’t get opening day, but I got May 7th and the 14th. Oh my gawd, I was so frustrated with Disney, but also super happy that I get to go back home!!DLandChris wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 7:31 pm Anyone else get through for tickets and/or reservations?

Re: BREAKING: DISNEYLAND TICKETS START TODAY 4/9
I lost a lot of time trying to purchase the tickets first by clicking on the "Buy Tickets" and "Select Tickets" buttons which kept sending me to the reservations queue. I thought it was an error and kept backing out of the queue because I didn't know that purchasing tickets, linking them to my Disneyland account and reserving the day all happened from the reservations queue. At least on this first day of sales. I finally went to the Auto Club site and purchased the tickets from there. Once back in the reservation queue it was another 6 hours before I could reserve the day I wanted. The face-palm moment came this morning when I looked at the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar and saw that the day I wanted is still available this morning. D'OH! But at least I got the tickets for the day I wanted. WOO HOO!

Re: BREAKING: DISNEYLAND TICKETS START TODAY 4/9
I found out about the AAA trick and did it that way. I was going to do multi day tickets anyway so it worked out.
And several hours one day is nothing compared to the Walt Disney World first day fiasco. Or rather two day fiasco. I had about 14 hours of phone time to try to make reservations for Florida so being in an online queue is nothing haha.

I had pretty much given up on tickets, but 11 hours later I snagged two! It's like trying to get tickets to Comic Con. So crazy!
