Hello everyone,
I am really looking for some help here. My family and I are going to Disney World next month and unfortunately, my youngest sister (14 years old) was recently diagnosed with pancreatitis. This means she cannot have ANY fat or ANY sugar. Imagine going to the Flower & Garden Festival and not being able to have most if not, any of the food there but having to watch everyone else enjoy it.
I know there are very limited options for fat and sugar free in Disney World, but I would greatly appreciate any suggestions for my sister. Even if it's something you think the chefs or cast members could do to give her a little bit of magic and make her feel special. We do plan on having our own groceries delivered but I would love for her to still be able to experience the magic somehow.
Thank you Disney Community!

Re: Looking for some Magic, please!
Wishing you and your family all of the best on your upcoming trip. While I can't assist with the bit of magic, I do have some advice.
Half-way down the following page gives directions on emailing disney with special diet requests. A family member has celiac disease and we were able to plan ahead and know what to get where, what "hidden menu" items could be ordered, and more. The website is: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest ... requests/

That really is the best way is to contact Disney directly. I know it's different than pancreatitus but my wife developed some severe food allergies mid-life (eggs, dairy, wheat, tomatoes, garlic, beef, tree nuts and more). Her food allergies range from making her very uncomfortable to life threatening (epi pen). Long and short of it-it changed how we eat as a family.
Our first trip to WDW with these needs was in July of 2019 when they had a the free meal plan offfer. Long story short-every place we talked to for meals & snacks had something for her-and in some instances were much better! For example, they made her some Mickey Waffles that used apple juice(?) and where flour free-anyway they were better than then normal ones!
It just adds an extra level of planning-and communication. At our sit down meals-the head of the kitchen would come and talk to her-she didn't miss out at all!

Oh that is wonderful to hear! I myself developed a late in life severe allergy to peppers...all peppers including black pepper (which is almost everything!) I carry my epi pen everywhere I go and rarely eat outside my home. We have 2 trips planned for 2022....I'm nervous about what I'll be able to eat.CH-GenX wrote: ↑Mon Mar 22, 2021 6:04 am That really is the best way is to contact Disney directly.
