You're the CEO of Disney for a Day. What Do You Add/Remove/Change?

You're granted the title of CEO of The Walt Disney Company for one day only. What do you add, remove, or change at Walt Disney World Reort?

Rules:
  • Assume fireworks, parades, etc. have already returned to their normal state
  • You have an unlimited budget, and any projects you want to implement will be unanimously approved
  • Walt Disney World property only (sorry, Disneyland!)
Here's my ideas...
  • Add: A monorail line looping around Animal Kindom and Hollywood Studios, ending at the Transportation & Ticket Center
  • Remove: Dinoland USA at Animal Kingdom
  • Change: I would move Tron to Epcot, and Frozen to Magic Kingdom.. this just seems like a better fit, in my opinion
Looking forward to what you guys come up with!

This is would I would do FIRST... I have way too many ideas
- I would add zootopia land to animal kingdom at Rafikis Planet Watch (the train would have screens on the windows to simulate going to zootopia
- Connect Animal Kingdom, Disney springs, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Old Key west to the Skyliner
- COCO to Mexico pavilion
- Add inside out dark ride NEAR imagination
- Add a sit down restaurant in pandora and in galaxys edge

Great idea. And totally agree with moving Frozen to MK and TRON to Epcot.

1. Absolutely add some type of themed transportation from Animal Kingdom park to the Lodge
2. Create a day time and evening type park pass at a lower cost i.e. open to 3pm and 3pm to close. We don't usually make it a point to visit parks early in the day so it would be nice to always have the option to purchase an evening pass for a lower cost.
3. Add a night time parade after the fireworks at MK that runs every other day (I won't spend all the unlimited money :P)

...
I would bring back every attraction they had and put them in a new park called Disney Archive. DA for short.

one thing I would do if I were CEO I would have a Casey's Corner footlong hot diggity dog eating contest where you get to have the hot dogs free for a year from there. That and also increase the size of the Mickey Bars and Sandwiches. :D

Given that I'd hope someone from Disney is browsing and taking notes; that unlimited budgets are not something Disney has - especially as of the date of this post; and I really want to see some of the following implemented - I'll keep this modest and focused:

1. Clean up and maintain the Epcot city model displayed along the People Mover route at MK; a piece of history that, when last I rode, looks like a storm hit it.
2. Re-open the overlook to the Space Mountain queues along the People Mover route.
3. Have someone (occasionally) clean the accumulated dust from the Space Mountain lift hill fence (looking up the lift hill from the People Mover); please?
4. Add a set of video panels inside the empty tunnels along the People Mover route; these could display fictitious Tommorrowland-themed "billboards" or current MK or WDW events/information/etc.

1)New Monorail fleet, designed to look the Disneyland Mark 1's but with all the modern conveniences. These are put on both coasts. DLP also has monorail built, ready to receive these, one station for the parks, a disney village station and a Station at Newport Bay Club and Santa Fe hotels.
Image
2) Tomorrowland Speedways across the world are converted to electric and given a full on Wreck It Ralph Sugar Rush makeover.
Image
3)The Studio tram tour is rebuilt at DHS in a new location, returning to its former glory with sets that can be changed over for the latest Disney blockbusters.
Image
4)MMRR is rebuilt in/near the animation building and GMR is rebuilt for the modern era in the Chinese Theatre.
Image
5)Spectromagic is returned and upgraded for 2021 and beyond, comes to both MK and DLP.
Image
6)Parks are open until at least midnight throughout the year.

Monorail connecting all parks, resorts and Disney Springs would be the obvious choice. Other options would be to fix Dino land at Animal Kingdom. Dinosaur is a good ride but not an anchor level attraction. Nothing else in Dino land is really even decent.

I would spend my unlimited budget on updating the last scene in Carousel of Progress. Let’s save Dad from burning his turkey over and over and over.

hm.. Thats a good topic and question, for me I think I would:

1.) Return Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom for the very devoted community or upgrade it first to modern times and then return it
2.) Add a show similar to World of Colour
3.) Return Mr Toad to WDW
4.) Add more countries to World Showcase (maybe just 2 countries who deserve to be in World Showcase)
5.) Add a Lilo and Stitch ride (running from Gantu or something)
6.) Add an Emperor's New Groove ride
7.) Actually bring some more overlays for Christmas and Halloween

Yes to parks staying open to at least midnight. People who go to Disney World once a year really want to spend as much time in the parks as possible. Since i started taking my kids to Disney, I’ve noticed the park hours shrinking each year. We really enjoyed staying late and getting on rides as the crowds thinned.

This. I'd just refurbish and make show standard all the forgotten attractions.

CEO of Disney is my dream job!

BUT here are my changes:

I would re-add Spectromagic to the Parades again.
I would add many Pin trader locations. I feel that this hobby is very popular (ive been collecting for 17 years), and would have pin trader events monthly.
I would add more fitness food options in the parks

Wow, really cool question!!!!

I would do my best to open up Disneyland.
I would add another WDW in the middle of the country.
Add a 5th park to WDW in Florida.
Book myself a trip to WDW and then Aulani, LOL 8-)

1) Zootopia Land in Animal Kingdom and with that a train entrance around the park moving through the different areas of Zootopia from Judy’s arrival into Zootopia as well as much needed faster way to get around and will have stops at All Animal Kingdom Resort and all All Star Resorts and drop off and pick up in different parts of Animal Kingdom too. Even before the Shanghai announcement I was talking about this and even have a few YouTube videos about my ideas! The addition of all the different cities in Animal Kingdom would add so much to the park including transportation and makes sense since Zootopia 2 was announced it’s being made soon as well!

2) Frozen Kingdom in Hollywood Studios- Arendelle Castle and the whole thing- with new rides from both movies and some of the shorts featuring Olaf - so many great scenes from the movie to use.

3) The Princess and the Frog ride in Animal Kingdom
4) Lion King ride in Animal Kingdom
5) Meet the Robinsons Ride in Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland

I could go on and on but these are some of my quick ideas!

I'm with a lot of people on here.

I'd create a fifth theme park for all the retired attractions, parades, shows, etc.

Keep all the parks open later and bulldoze Dinoland. Put anything in it's place that doesn't look like a cheap carnival.

Remove Laugh Floor from Tomorrowland.

Remove JIYI at Epcot.

Remove Animation offices at the Studios.

Eliminate Dinorama from Dinoland.

Refill each with legitimate Imagineering concepts.

At the rate that they've been building resorts, the parks are filled to overflowing, so I'd address the crowd issue (which I understand is currently not at play) and build a fifth park that is entirely Star Wars. Move the existing Star Wars area from Hollywood Studios to it and expand, then use the left-over space in HS to build something that includes Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, and Nightmare Before Christmas.

If money were no object? I would rebuild Horizons, bring back Spectromagic, and go Skyliner crazy, connecting everything with everything! Bottled water would be a buck, and I would lower the cost of hotels and admission. Of course to handle the crowds, I would build 4 more theme parks. I would transform the Studios back to its roots: a real working studio with backstage tours and sound stages. I would relocate the amphitheater blocking the view of the American Adventure in Epcot. I would bring back Dreamfinder and Figment in their original show. I would restore the Enchanted Tiki Room and Country Bear Jamboree to their original full lengths. And last but not least, I would make Josh and Jenna full time Disney Ambassadors, giving them full access both backstage and onstage for Friday Night Live.
