Behind the Seeds Tour

Postby Bpellinen » Tue May 25, 2021 12:57 pm

A few years ago my husband and I took the Behind the Seeds Tour at Epcot, and there was a plant named “Oscar” that reacted when touched. Does anyone know if it was a Mimosa pudica or a Biophytum sensitivum? I thought I had it written down someplace what it was but I can’t find it now. Thanks!

i suspect it's a mimosa pudica, if this is what you're talking about

Thank you! That’s the plant seeds I ordered last week, but I wasn’t completely sure it was the right one....I’ve wanted to try and grow one ever since I saw it on the tour in 2015...hopefully it grows ok! I’ve heard they’re easy to grow given the right conditions. I have good luck with African violets (I have 7 different ones right now), and succulents, and a cactus, and bamboo...my husband says our living room is starting to look like a plant conservatory.... :D
