Cancelled Trip

Postby brenda » Wed Mar 24, 2021 7:44 am

Hey all-
I have had to cancel my trip next week due to a family emergency. I am so sad but being that I was just there in February it's not the end of the world. Flower and Garden/springtime is my favorite time in WDW and this is the second spring break that was cancelled due to things beyond my control. With that said- has anyone else had to suddenly cancel your trip? Did you reschedule? I am thinking of July 4th week instead and then at least I can catch the end of Flower and Garden. Thanks for listening and I look forward to you sharing your stories!

That's a bummer. But looking on the bright side, anticipating going to DW is one of the most exciting parts! I can relate, we usually go this time of year too. (actually we would probably be there right as I'm typing this) Unfortunately because of COVID and health risks we've decided to play it safe and not go at all this year. As a gardener myself, Flower and Garden festival is an all time favorite! I really feel for you -- I hope everything works out for your trip in July!

After going twice a year for probably about 10 years, we had to cancel both vacations last year due to Covid. Yes, we were bummed, but we tried to make the best of it by recreating some of our favorite Disney recipes at home and running Disney YouTube videos and movies throughout the day during the weeks we were supposed to go. We're scheduled for late June and Christmas this year, and I think we will make it this time!!

That's a bummer to say the least. Here is a thought-The further down the road we get from today the closer we'll be to a more precovid Disney. Right now we are paying the same Disney prices for less Disney magic-who knows what July or later will bring in terms of more things returning.
