Re: RunDisney
Hi, I love run Disney. I did the goofy challenge back in 2007 and just the marathon in 2008. I had hoped to get back for the dopey challenge for my 50th but as we’re in the U.K. it may be a couple of years I can’t tell you how many times I’ve told people that these races are not just races you see places and have opportunities to do things such as take photos with floats, jog onto rides and run up Main Street without trying to well up because it’s such an amazing feeling!!!
Oh and the medals... well.. they are the best ever!!!
I can’t wait to come back and run it, although lockdown in the U.K. may have not been good for healthy eating... haha. Xx

Re: RunDisney
I did the Fall Feast 5k back in 2018 and had signed up for the Princess 5k next month. I was gutted when it was cancelled but our trip was then cancelled anyway.

Re: RunDisney
Has anyone heard what the future of Run Disney holds -- in-person races, all virtual, some not at all? I was going to try and do the marathon in 2022 with my son and daughter if they are having it -- I'd be interested in virtual options too!

Re: RunDisney
It seems they still want to have them in person in the future. Many non-Disney races are postponing until next year so that might be the case for Disney. But I think they are doing case by case with each race, which the next possible one in person is wine and dine. But, overall, though not hearing officially, it will most likely be a location race someday.

Re: RunDisney
I completed my first runDisney 10K last weekend during the 2022 Springtime Surprise Weekend, it was a brilliant experience. It was very well organized and filled with enthusiasm from start to finish.
I was comically nervous going into the race about oversleeping, missing the shuttle bus at 3 AM, etc. Everything went extremely well and we have even more reasons to visit Disney.

Re: RunDisney
How did the ToT Run Disney route compare to other run disney routes? I noticed it didnt' sell out as fast (not sure if it ever did sell out) as others events and I wondered why. I'm in some run Disney groups and there was disucssion about the route. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Re: RunDisney
I enjoyed the ToT 10 miler. I think it didn’t seek out fast because it wasn’t a half marathon, but I don’t think the half sold out during marathon weekend either. It had some fun things along the course that made it very tower of terror themed and a nice amount to run.

Re: RunDisney
I would definitely like to hear opinions about favorite runDisney events. Best balance of events/vacation, best time of year, etc. I know it's a big question, but I would really appreciate any opinions.
For anyone that might be reading this and thinking, "I can't do that..." or if you are just interested in runDisney, Paging Mr. Morrow has done a couple of videos. Nate's 5k video has been instrumental in talking my wife into doing a 5k.

Re: RunDisney
My husband and son did the 10k on April 2nd, 2022 just a few weeks ago and had a blast! My younger son and I were not able to get 5k tickets because they sold out so quickly, now I know for the next race to buy tickets on day one!
