Favorite Time to Visit WDW
What is your favorite time of year to visit the parks, if you aren't local?
We love visiting anytime between Labor Day and two weeks before Christmas, too bad I can't afford to stay that long.
Our favorite time would be during the two weeks after Thanksgiving when the crowds are low and the temps are moderate.

Re: Favorite Time to Visit WDW
My wife and I have been lucky enough to travel to Florida twice.
Our first trip was the end of February and the second trip was start of June.
The weather in February was PERFECT and weather in June wasn't our cup of tea.
We both prefer the cooler weather so other people may have the opposite opinion to us.
The negative about the February trip was the time the parks closed compared to June. Almost every night a park was open until 11pm or later in June but in February everything closed by 8-9pm at the latest.
We would take a trip at any time if we had the oppurtunity now but in a perfect world we would do it all again in February

Have been able to experience two amazing Orlando Holidays all the way from Melbourne Australia in 2016 and 2018.
Currently dreaming of our next trip sometime post covid!

Re: Favorite Time to Visit WDW
We went Dec 31 2019 - 110% capacity
August 2020 - 25% capacity
October 31, 2020 - 35% capacity
December 11, 2020 - 40% capacity
I must say we love Christmas, but its too crazy during non-Covid times... But summer is too hot!!
We actually liked going this past December with low crowds.

Our favorite time is “now” - January! The crowds are fewer; it’s not too hot; and coming from Massachusetts, 60 degrees in January feels perfect !! Now, if we can just get past the COVID challenges, we can get back there in 2022!

You summed up what I was going to say perfectly! As someone who's used to colder climates, January in Florida is amazing lol. Plus festival of the arts in Epcot?? You can't beat it!

Re: Favorite Time to Visit WDW
At WDW & DLand, always liked the period between thanksgiving & christmas - holiday decorations were being installed, the weather was a little cooler, and crowds were light - of course, this was more than 20 years ago so not sure if that period of time still has lighter crowds...

Re: Favorite Time to Visit WDW
December is my preferred time, even though it's usually packed. I loved to resort hop and check out decorations and gingerbread houses. Of course, Summer was the other time I usually visited b/c that's when everyone was off from school/could use their vacation time but of course it is ridiculously hot. I would love to go around this time to visit the Festival of the Arts.

2nd week of November. Christmas stuff is already out. Jingle bell jingle bam is playing at Hollywood. It's still Food and Wine festival at Epcot. Plus the weather is perfect that time of year.

We like September right after Labor Day. The weather is nice enough to swim and it's usually not too hot. We went in June for a big family outing and I've never felt such hot humid weather in my life.

Re: Favorite Time to Visit WDW
My favorite time to visit is always the last week in April and beginning of May. The crowds are low because kids are still in school and the weather is always Perfect!
I also like the first week in December too for the same reasons.

Re: Favorite Time to Visit WDW
Love visiting the week Flower and Garden Festival kicks off...all of the festival fun while still in an “affordable” season before spring break starts.
A second favorite is September..that period right after Labor Day is still pretty hot but can’t beat the combo of lower crowds with lengthy park hours.

Re: Favorite Time to Visit WDW
The cooler the better for us...so long as it isn’t a holiday and crowds are up. My wife absolutely can’t tolerate heat, so late late fall and winter are our preferred times. A few weeks before Christmas to enjoy the decorations and parties was awesome for us about 3 years ago.
In my previous marriage to a teacher, we always had to go in the summer when school was out. Crowds were tough and the heat even tougher...never again if I can help it. Disney magic is great at warming the soul, but it doesn’t do a darn thing to cool it off.
