Ham Radio at WDW
Ham Radio at WDW
Anyone use Ham Radio while at WDW? I always bring an HT into the parks and have made several contacts from the parks. My dad went years ago and I talked to him via Echolink from Maine to his HT in the park.

Way back when, before cellphones... we would bring motorola walkie-talkies to the parks to communicate with family members who branched out and did their own thing. Wow... I feel old!!
My grandfather operated a HAM frequency, so this hits home for me!

There’s a Disney amateur radio club. They have a lot info on their site. https://wd4wdw.org/

I bring my handheld every time I go. WDW has a repeater on-site. Its fun to make contacts on 2 meters. Next time I'm there, listen for me.
