Disney's Very Merriest After Hours Event - with Parades!

Postby Liquid Ice » Sat Aug 14, 2021 4:04 am

Disney announced yesterday details on the Very Merry After Hours Event and it includes a Christmas themed parade and Christmas themed fireworks for each after hours event!

Details here: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/event ... ter-hours/

The bad thing? The price! The cheapest price is $159 with DVC / AP discount and it goes up to $249 for the most expensive nights! For a 4 hour party that equates to an average of $50 an hour - actually around the same price for a double occupancy room on the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser for 48 hours. I guess $50 an hour is the standard price now for premium offerings. Just to give you an idea, $50/hour is $104,000 a year if you were working 40 hours a week, and your take home would be less than that because of taxes.

What do you think? Is it worth the price? I'm planing to be there in early December with my kids, but $836 (before taxes) for 4 tickets to this party isn't worth it imho since my kids aren't going to be riding many rides or enjoying a lot of the festivities and they'll probably be exhausted and unable to stay up until 1am.

If it were just my wife and I, I'd definitely do it, but "only" $400 is still a lot of money!

Did anyone else buy their tickets today? I will be there on Sunday 11/14! :)

Was nice that you can buy them online and it was not too difficult to purchase unlike Boo Bash.

Got tickets today also. I didn’t try for boo bash but heard some horror stories. It was easier than any of the times getting things for Disneyland.
