But for us, the brave hoppers who like to hang out in chat, it can become almost impossible to keep up with conversations in YouTube's tiny chat box. I'm sure it's even harder for Josh and Jenna on their phone while they are out and about. It's amazing that they can reply to what they do reply to! There are some tricks that can help alleviate the pain - e.g. hitting "@" and then a few characters of who you are typing to and then <TAB> to auto-complete the person you're talking to - but often the screen just whips by at warp speed. Again - this is a good thing, I am not complaining - but it does make participating a bit harder.
Has anyone thought about creating a secondary chat that is more accessible to us hardcore hoppers who chat a lot? I think someone floated the idea of a Discord server, which could have lots of potential. (Maybe a Superchat-only chat space?) But the problem is that it now splits your community into two separate areas of chat, which is (a) impossible to moderate and (b) impossible to keep up on. Anything like that would have to be strictly self-moderated on a volunteer basis so as to alleviate the pressure on the mod squad.
Anyway, I'm just thinking out loud; it seems park attendance keeps going up, up, up - and there is no indication that ResortTV1 will get any less popular. Kudos to Josh and Jenna for pioneering here.
