Re: Hotel
Love the flexibility. And love that DVC controls the value. Bought 15-years ago and my "investment" is worth more now than when we bought.Justin Hooker wrote: ↑Tue Jan 26, 2021 3:33 pm What do you like to do at vacation club, Do you like the hotel or something, and why?

Re: Hotel
So, DVC made sense for my family because we knew we were going to go back to Walt Disney World. There is a ton of predictability in the rooms that you get with DVC. They are very similar all across property. By that I mean you have similar amenities. DVC has made very nice hotel rooms affordable for my family over a period of time. DVC is definitely not for everyone. Unless you’re planning to go to Disney regularly, it really doesn’t make sense. There are a lot of considerations, and good arguments for and against DVC Membership.
For us, we love the resorts and the flexibility of the ownership. The ends and outs of DVC membership can be a tricky business, but I’m balance it’s been one of the best things we’ve ever done.

Re: Hotel
I bought in DVC because I wanted a bigger room that we can relax in after a long day in the park. Enough spots for everyone to sit without using the beds is nice. Having a kitchen with a refrigerator/freezer allows us to have some expanded meal options. I don't plan on cooking meals there but being able to buy some frozen breakfast bowls and microwave them in the morning, priceless . The washer and dryer in the room means I don't have to waste time hanging out in the laundry room. Also our home resort (BLT) has an extra bathroom in the villas. That makes getting ready in the morning much faster.

Re: Hotel
I rediscovered Disney Parks as an adult a few years back and fell in love all over again. We knew we wanted to come back every year (maybe more) so DVC made sense for us. I love the flexibility and variety of resorts. The first few years we rope dropped and stayed at the parks all day but since we go more often the pressure to ‘fit it all in’ has greatly reduced. Now we enjoy our time more and the resorts have so much to offer. Also I love planning a Disney trip (not everyone does) and it gives us something to look forward to especially when times are tough we know we can always go home.
