POLY TOWER

Postby GAN » Tue Mar 15, 2022 6:01 pm

So what are the general feelings about the announced(?) Poly Tower being developed between the existing resort and the Grand Floridian?

First of all, the mock-up I saw looked horrible and really doesn’t look like it will blend in. Not to mention that they will be adding an unknown amount of guests to a resort that is known for its relaxed and laid back atmosphere. It’s a disaster for any long-time Poly guest. Disney’s new mantra seems to be …jam as many people into a tight space and see what happens. Just another step in the wrong direction for guests. I get that many people will be excited -especially with the ability to possibly book 1BR & 2BR which is something people wanted but it will definitely change the feel of the resort.

Imagine that line for the already overcrowded monorail 😳….

We stayed at BLT for a week last month. The monorail was fairly crowded. I agree that a new building of that size will out a large strain on a already crowded monorail. At least with the current Poly DVC buildings you can walk to the TTC and take express monorail or boat.
