We wanted to stay there for our November trip but had to book at Pop instead. Hopefully they open it soon so we can switch our reservation over.

I love the Port Orleans complex, French Quarter in particular. But, Riverside is close and love staying at either. I was supposed to be at Riverside this coming April but have to move the trip and bummed the hotel is still closed.

We try and stay at a different resort each time we go. The last two times we stayed at French Quarter and Riverside. We had a great time in both resorts and loved the Boatwright's Dinning Hall. Prime Rib was outstanding. Also don't forget the carriage ride.

Do you know how the preferred rooms (in Bayou) compare in price to the royal rooms (in Magnolia)?

Truly a magical place to stay. From being dropped off by the Magical Express on our first night, to walking to the Fulton's General Store. The Princess Royal Rooms are so unique and magical. You certainly won't disappointed in your stay at Port Orleans Riverside.

The Royal Princess rooms do add a bit more to the cost of your trip. The theming is truly outstanding. If your able to afford the extra amount of money it requires, I highly recommend trying it at least one time.

Money can’t Bayou Happiness: Why the Riverside sucks: preface by saying we had and wanted to stay at the Wilderness lodge but Disney reservations told us they couldn’t guarantee connecting rooms there we would have better luck in Riverside

1. Daughter in a wheel chair: literally in the furthest building from the main building with no wheelchair ramps: we have to carry the wheel chair up 5 stairs each time we leave the building
2. House keeping went in the bags and took out toys and playfully hid my daughters ear collection behind the window darkening blinds so we had mass crying and fear- kids wanting to take everything they own to the parks everyday
3. Rooms were dirty with wet towels and hair in the drain at arrival, bugs in the room night 1 moths and Beatles
4. Pool area was dirty, towels wet and dry everywhere, drink bottles everywhere, and leaves and bugs in the pool.
5. Kids were playing and flipping into the pool unattended, we stayed in the pool area later than we wanted to make sure someone was there if they got hurt.
6. The WiFi didn’t work in the room, When Pinged WiFi routinely gave a 0 speed.
7. First morning before magic hours we had to waitmultiple buses because they were filled before we could get on - not Riversides fault but extra magic hour morning maybe there should be more buses than every 20. Day 2
8. We were told because of the day 1 problems someone from house keeping would call: not that I wanted them to. All but I waited and they never bothered to call
9. We were told we would get passes to use because of the problems we had they weren’t issued until we went back down once and got 4 of 5 issued and then made the long trip to get the entire group the passes
10. towel sat on the horse statue on the bridge over night into the next day.
11. Got 5 messages about the $6 dollars that was owed for the garden grocer after I asked if I could pay it day 1 and was told it would be added to the room bill. Day 3
12. Connecting rooms the neighboring room had the room serviced mine wasn’t at 4pm. Showed up when kids were ready for bed around 7:30. Day 4
13. No hot water the boiler wasn’t on upstairs according to maintenance it needed to be reset
14. While repairing the shower the technician stood in the shower with muddy boots and left the shower floor covered in mud: always fun to clean showers at 10:45 on vacation to take the shower you wanted to take 3 hours ago. Day 8
15. At the bar our drinks were put in a to go plastic cup and we were told your taking these to go... a beer, a pina colada and an invite to go away!
16.

Waiting for the day that POR is open again. It was our first resort hotel and have stayed at least one night during our split stay WDW vacations for the past four years.
