If you're not familiar with the Crescent Lake (aka Epcot Resort) area - you can watch a relaxing stroll with Josh around Crescent Lake!

I first stayed at the Swan hotel in 2018 and ever since then I've fallen in love with the Crescent Lake area.
For my first DVC purchase, I shied away from buying a Boardwalk or Beach Club because of the 2042 expiration, but decided for my second purchase to buy at BCV (Beach Club Villas) and could not be happier with the purchase.
I've of course stayed at Beach Club Villas since then which is honestly my favorite resort and I've also stayed at Boardwalk Villas and while it wasn't my favorite - the location is still great.
What do I love about the area?
1. Walkable to Epcot and Hollywood Studios
2. If you don't feel like walking you can take the Friendship Boats or the Skyliner (I love the Friendship boats, and they're a lot less crowded now with the Skyliner getting most of the attention).
3. At off-peak season, the Swan/Dolphin rooms can often be cheaper or similarly priced to Value Hotels and they come with most of the same benefits as staying at a Disney owned property (but with the added benefit of earning Marriott Rewards points if you book with them directly).
4. Normally (pre-pandemic) - there is a great energy and things to do in the Boardwalk area (even at night) with 2/4/6 person bikes available to rent and ride around the lake, Boardwalk games and entertainment and a decent selection of restaurants on the Boardwalk, Swan/Dolphin hotels and Beach Club / Yacht Club.
5. If you want a little bit of quiet, the other side of crescent lake at Beach Club and Yacht Club is more peaceful.
Can't think of many cons, maybe just that staying at Beach Club, Yacht Club or Boardwalk Inn can be very expensive if you pay cash? Skyliner makes these resorts less "valuable" since Pop, AoA and CBR are cheaper.
Anyone else love the area (or not), and if so why?
