Hollywood and Vine

We are trying Hollywood and Vine for the first time in April. Since my daughter cannot meet the characters like normal I thought at least having them at a distance during lunch would meet her character needs 😀. For anyone who has gone recently, how did you like the meal and characters?

There is a reason why folks call it Hollywood & Slime in reference to the food (buffet). Now the food is vastly improved at H&S over the old buffet but my 9 y/0 d.d. & 9/yo d.n. did not care for the food. Teenagers and Adult like the food.

The character experience is full on covid-19 aware so you are paying the same amount of money for the old character experience so you'll need to decide for yourself if it's worth it.

If this is your first experience at WDW then I would recommend the character dinning at Garden Grill. It's family style, something for everyone, pretty decent, and you get more characters. Plus the restaurant rotates around living with the land.

I just did a quick poll of the family: 5 votes Garden Grill vs. 0 votes Hollywood & Vine

Here is a pic for reference and this is as close as the characters would get at Hollywood & Vine:

Here is another covid character experience at Garden Grill:
