I just moved to FL in May of last year, and I’m renting an apartment, while I like to low maintenance of renting, I already know this is where I want to finally put down roots. I have probably about a couple years before I have enough savings to buy a house, and I know unless I have 20% (which I won’t because these days that’s virtually impossible to save up) I’m going to have to have a mortgage that includes PMI. With that being said I’m just curious about things like Property Taxes and Homeowners Insurance in Florida, what are some of the best, safer areas for a single 42yo person like me to think about exploring near Disney World that isn’t also going to balloon my escrow payment?
Thanks for the help.

Re: Mortgages in Florida
Yeah, sorry, I should have mentioned, I’m going to avoid using a realtor at all costs. Have been screwed over by too many of them in the past. That’s why I posted here to see if I could some ideas from real people that already own homes in Florida.AnimalKingdomFan79 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 10:32 am RTV1 has a realtor that they recommend, maybe he can assist https://celebratingflorida.com/
