Winter Home Dreams

Anyone out there have a condo or something similar that they rent out during the summer and live at during the winter. Trying to convince husband that this needs to be a goal but we know nothing about the area and not sure how well they book up, management companies etc.Anyone here do something similar? How did you get started? Are you able to cover the mortgage with rental income? TYIA
