Renting DVC points at Polynesian - Dec 2021

Hey feller Hoppers!! Hope you all are doing well today.
We have just sent an email over confirming our request to rent DVC points for a shortish 4 night stay at Polynesian later this year - Dec 12th through the 16th! There are A LOT of firsts for us in this trip:
1. First time staying at Polynesian
2. First time staying in a MK area room with a Lake/Magic Kingdom view
3. First time renting DVC points (the savings, at least for the week we chose, is around 60% off renting vs direct with Disney. I'm sure Disney will be offering a room promotion for this week later on this year, but I don't know if we could get around $500 a night for a Lake/MK view Deluxe studio room with taxes included with a regular promo .. perhaps we could do something like that at Copper Creek, Wilderness Lodge or Boulder Ridge with a promo, but Poly is just somewhere that will be special for our first trip back post-covid, and with our new baby!)
4. ANDDDD the first time bringing a child with us! Our baby coming this June will be 6 months old during this trip
We did some research on bringing a 6 month old to Disney World, and for the most part, it was all good reports. Mainly because they are just "there" in the stroller or body wrap as we walk around either sleeping or just looking around at everything. To us, this sounds like the best time to bring him on his first real trip as he can't really be mobile anywhere just yet. Of course our expectations will be correctly set going into this, but we would love if any other Hoppers have brought their young ones on a Disney trip and if they had any tips!
Thanks!
