Wondering what everyone's opinion is on visiting from the UK.
We have a trip booked for September which has already been rescheduled due to the pandemic.
Assuming we are allowed to travel at that point (who knows!) I'm debating whether it's worth it at the moment?
This will be our first trip out in ten years, and a first visit for our kids (who will be 8 and 5) so I want them to feel the magic.
Thoughts?

Re: Visiting from the UK
As a fellow Brit, I'm sad to say this, but I think realistically international holidays will be off the cards in 2021.
As you probably know, the current UK government target is for every adult in the UK to be offered a vaccine "by the autumn".
I can't really see things getting back to "normal" in terms of international travel/foreign holidays until at least that's actually happened.
Of course, there's always a chance things may speed up with the vaccine rollout in the UK.
Conversely, if vaccine supply issues aren't addressed or get worse, that "by the autumn" target may slip... so it's whether you want to gamble and take the chance that international air travel and UK restrictions will be lifted by this September?
...but don't forget that even if life is "back to normal" in the UK by September, that's no guarantee that it'll be the same in the US, so there's that unknown to factor in as well!
Personally, I'd consider rescheduling for 2022 if you can to avoid the stress of uncertainty over where the UK/US will be come September. That way, at least then you'll have a more certain holiday to look forward to in 2022!

Re: Visiting from the UK
We're in the UK too and planning our very first trip ever for 2022, we're hoping it will be all ok and safe for international travel by then, we were supposed to be going to Disneyland Paris this year, fortunately we hadn't booked anything and are making do with our Butlins holiday that was postponed from last year, but even that is debatable if it will go ahead as we are going with friends.
Hoping to make our first trip to the World of Mouse one day

Re: Visiting from the UK
A trip is on my bucket list...I'll let God and fate clear the path for the right time for my first visit to Disney World in the next few years!
I don't think the pandemic will clear for a while with any amount of wishful thinking to speed it away....

Re: Visiting from the UK
We’ve totally scrapped the idea of visiting this year. We were originally May 2020 but as things began to progress we bit the bullet and amended in early April 2020 to February 2021. And of course the rescheduled visit has now been pushed back but we went for May 2022 instead of later this year.
Fingers crossed things improve and we can start travelling again. I work in the travel industry so I’m really hoping we can start travelling again.

Re: Visiting from the UK
I currently have a week booked in late April, but I’ll make a choice mid March about pulling it for now. If the US will let us in, and lockdown allows travel by then (possible, based on relaxing the rules last summer), I’m still going. I’d rather go than not go, even without fireworks etc.
I’m gutted, as it is the fist time I’ll have been on holiday with my mother in 30 years, and she is not a Disney person, but she is trying to do things with her children now as life is short. I really wanted her to experience what makes me happy
