Disney discourage solo travel ?
Disney discourage solo travel ?
It seem in the last several years, that Disney do not have any rooms available and vacations plans for solo travel. Only child adult left by my parents, not married, I enjoy Disney attraction and food several year ago staying at Pop Century. I made my own travel reservation and buy my own tickets. I keep getting that nothings is available for my party size. Wish to return again.

Re: Disney discourage solo travel ?
Sorry it’s been difficult. I’m a solo traveler 90% of the time I travel there. I’ve not had problems booking or even looking up if there’s availability. Sometimes it’s good to go through a travel agent that they have a bit more access.
The one thing I do have trouble with is dining reservations. But, check on availability for two and then when you check in let them know it’s just one and it’s fine.

Re: Disney discourage solo travel ?
There is a FB Group for Disney Solo travelers, they have some great recommendations. I've done a solo trip myself (was a business trip that I extended to spend a few days at WDW). For reservations, if you can't find a party of 1 reservation - pick a party of 2, nobody will mind if you check in by yourself. Or many restaurants have bar seating where you can easily find a seat for a party of 1.
One nice thing about the FB Group is I was able to find another solo traveler to meet up with for dinner in the evenings.
You shouldn't have trouble getting a hotel reservation for a party of 1, I just did it via the Disney World website (arbitrarily picked March 1st - 5th, 2021) and Pop Century came up as an option for a Party of 1 along with numerous other rooms. If you are having trouble finding a room, you can definitely call a travel agent for help, they don't charge you anything for their services.

I've been able to book rooms for just me with no issues. I would definitely check with a travel agent, like Mickey Travels. They are a sponsor of ours, but they really are knowledgable and can help you with any issues you have. And the best part is that you won't have to wait on hold for a long time!Dvitali wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 2:53 am It seem in the last several years, that Disney do not have any rooms available and vacations plans for solo travel. I did a solo trip just last week. There shouldn't be any issues with you doing it.

I did a solo trip in 19' and stayed at Coronado. Like others said if you are having trouble I'd reach out to a WDW Specialist Travel Agent.
