Saratoga Springs with Toddler in June
Saratoga Springs with Toddler in June
Hi hoppers! My husband and I are planning a trip in June with our almost 2 year old. We are considering Saratoga Springs. Any thoughts on that resort? We like that it’s in walking distance to Disney Springs. Any tips for brining a toddler? I also saw that pools at resorts have limited capacity for obvious reasons. Has anyone not been able to get into their resort pool because of crowds?

Re: Saratoga Springs with Toddler in June
I can chime in on the almost 2 year old as we went during COVID-19 right before my son turned 2 (to avoid any mask-wearing issues of him wearing it and we had nonrefundable tickets from a conference). If your just under 2 year old is not wearing a mask and is tall for their age, I would suggest having copies of his birth certificate to show (one laminated for rain purposes) as we were asked a few times by cast members. In addition, a cast member said to take a picture of it to and favorite it on your phone so you can show quickly which was a good tip too.
Other tips would be a stroller for sure with a rain cover and when it doubt, put the rain cover on which saved us the one day where we were then probably one of a handful of people who had "dry" strollers the rest of the day. I did a more detailed packing list for another post that I'd be happy to share, but the top three plus food suggestions would be:
Food - Breakfast Bars, Dried Fruit, Applesauce and/or Costco Veggie fruit packets (forget the name, but it’s right near the applesauce but has veggies too), veggie straws
Toddler Milk (Horizon Organic Milk doesn’t have to be refrigerated and we kept in the room and took one for the first milk in the park each day - saved us a lot of money and then had it available on Disney transportation if needed).
Disposable placemats (We had about 10 extra from Chick-Fil-A / McDonald’s pre-pandemic)
Tile (for stroller to track if it was stolen as Disney is not liable for stolen items)
Hope this helps and have fun!

Wow! Thanks for all these great tips! I would not have thought of the tile, but we will definitely get one for that reason. Also the rain cover for the stroller. Thanks for all of your super helpful tips! I appreciate it!

I really enjoy the resorts that are in walking distance of either the parks or DS. I think you'll like it.
Here is a pretty good video that shows you Saratoga and the walk to DS. https://touringplans.com/walt-disney-wo ... /addresses

One thing to consider with regards to busses is that Saratoga Springs has many bus stops and the busses follow a particular pattern. If you end up at one of the later/last stops, there is a high probability that the bus will be full by the time it reaches you and you will have to wait until the next (full?) bus. Your options are to walk over to one of the early bus stops...or consider calling for a car to take you. (I was assuming you aren't driving your own car.)
