Hey y’all!
Planning a vacation for September 28 - October 6th, with our first few days at Disney. We’re hoping to get our tickets pretty soon, but the reservation system worries me a little. Magic Kingdom appears to already be all reserved by October 1 (I assume for the 50th anniversary) but I really want to make sure we’re able to visit and enjoy all four parks and utilize park hopper. Any tips or ideas for how far in advance we should get our tickets and make our reservations? We’re still trying to save up as much as we can and we’re hoping to hold off on buying tickets until a month or two from now.

My suggestion would be to contact Mickey Travels. This is the travel agency that supports Resort TV1 and I believe you can just put a down payment on your trip. It costs nothing to go through them to book, they can help you plan and help you figure out your best options.MarcyElly wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 4:46 pm Hey y’all!

Re: Park Reservation System
October 1st is an exception because of the start of the 50th Anniversary - many dates don't "sell out" at all, and for very popular dates - they tend to sell out a 2-3 months before hand, so I think if you buy your tickets in a month or two you'll be fine (except for October 1st at MK). Even on a popular day - like this weekend, Animal Kingdom and Epcot are available today to Theme Park ticket holders and Resort guests. Of course if you can get into 1 park and the other parks have not reached capacity, you can park hop at 2pm.
But like CH-GenX said - if you're staying at an on site hotel or a Disney Springs hotel, even if you haven't paid anything yet or just a small downpayment you can make reservations right away by linking your reservation number in My Disney Experience and then you can make your Park Pass reservation right away.

Re: Park Reservation System
Hi!
I know that you're very excited and hope you have a great visit.
You may already have looked...but here is where you can check the current status of park reservations.
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/avail ... -calendar/
Of course there is always the tradeoff of "paying" early versus later...as in having to pay the bill....but, of course the best way to get the dates/parks you want is to make your reservations earlier rather than later. I agree with the previous poster...things close to the start of the 50th anniversary are likely to be more popular...so if that is your window....I'd recommend getting them soon.
Have a magical time!

Re: Park Reservation System
Absolutely and you don't have to pay for the whole trip up front I think it's 10% down and the balance 60 days before you arrive.randyf79 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 12:12 pm Hi!
