Disney Dining & ADR's

Postby Meridasmom » Tue Feb 16, 2021 9:17 pm

Hey hoppers! Does anyone have experience booking ADR's for a large party either online or on the MDE app? We ran into this issue a few years ago where we couldn't book for 15 people online, we had to call in and the CM had to basically split up our reservations. Example for a table service meal the CM would book 7 people at 6 pm and 8 people at 615 pm. Then when we arrived we just had to tell the host/hostess that we were all the same group and then wait for them to get our tables ready. Sometimes we did have to wait a little while in order to get enough space together.

So- 1st question is- does anyone have experience booking on MDE or online for large groups? 2nd question- is there a limit as to how many can sit together right now? (I'm just thinking of the 6 ft social distancing in line where parties of 10 or more will be split up). We have 9 going in October, so I know anything can change, but just trying to figure out where I'm starting from. 3rd question- for those who have booked with a larger group recently, what was the easiest reservation to get?

Thanks all!

I generally use two or more MDE accounts-and split the party in two or more manageable numbers. So for the last trip I scheduled my ADR's with my account and used my brother in-law's account. Used two devices/multiple browsers open and scheduled the ADRs at the same time.

If you don't want to fool with that then I would call.

An easy ADR for a large group-Biergarten in Epcot.

The rule is currently 10 for social distancing. Disney is asking parties of 10 or more to split into smaller groups for dining, standing on line, etc to help with social distancing.

You can see the details here: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/experience-updates/ click "Read More" under Physical Distancing.

The wording is specifically: “Guests traveling in parties of more than 10 are asked to split into smaller groups in queues, dining locations and other areas around our parks and resorts to better allow for physical distancing.”
