Disneyland Paris Paid fastpasses

Postby Disney Donna » Tue Jul 06, 2021 11:56 am

Hi All,
I've just come across this bit of news that starting at some point in the summer Disneyland Paris will be charging for fast pass by way of per person per ride, the cost will vary depending on whether it's classed as peak or off peak and will go from €8 to I think it was €15. That seems very expensive to me and I'm now wondering if the US Disney parks could be next.
What are everyone's thoughts on this? Are Disney pricing out some people? If this or any kind of paid for fast pass system were to be implemented at Walt Disney World I would seriously have to rethink the affordability of it, I'm planning on bring my family all the way from the UK so it won't be cheap.
If I've managed to do it right o should have put a link to article I found

Hoping to make our first trip to the World of Mouse one day

I think it isn’t necessarily coming to the US parks. It depends on quite a few things like keeping reservations for parks and virtual queues. Disneyland has had an extra paid fast pass system in addition to the free one so they might keep that or convert to just the MaxPass paid.

Hey, here is some more information I found.
Disney Eliminates FREE FAST PASS SYSTEM. PREMIER ACCESS CARD, is the new name for the system.
DISNEYLAND PARIS to begin testing phase and trial to see how customers react and if they like the idea. They also are testing wait-times.
The cost will be $8.00 to $20.00 in range per attraction. Cast Members, will evaluate daily attraction demands.
For example, on a busy attraction the most you will get charged is $20.00 extra if you want to be up front in line.
Walt Disney World and Disneyland Parks are still TBA about this program.
Customer Self-Service Kiosks are being installed in all the parks to assist. Walt Disney World has already added some to Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom.
