Re: Harmonious Soft/Cast Preview, Sept 29th Epcot

First off, big shoutout to Dale for doing a great job last night :D But yeah, it wasn't completely terrible, but I think this could possibly use a little retooling as well. I loved the fireworks. They were the best part of the show for me. But the projections, the soundtrack, the fountains, I'm a li...

Re: Enchantment - what was that?

The beginning was a little slow. I admit that. But I did think that it started to pick up when the projections started to be shown along Main Street. And I did really like that Tink flew! Is it better than Wishes? No Is it better than Happily Ever After? God, No! But was it completely terrible? No. ...

Re: hollywood studios

Well, since it's not really a studio anymore, I would say something like "Disney's Hollywood Adventure"

And yeah, I still call it MGM sometimes too

Re: What are your favorite Disney world characters to interact with while you are in the Disney parks?

Peter Pan at the Magic Kingdom.

The last time I went to Disney, after I took a picture with him, he told me to "stay not a grown up"

I'm sorry I missed the cast member who played Peter Pan a few years ago. I've seen some videos of him on Youtube and he was amazing in the role.

The utilidors underneath the Magic Kingdom. According to the WDW documentaries that I've seen, it's practically a city unto itself down there

For me, Toy Story Mania for sure. Second choice would be Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway.

Re: what are some funny things that have happened at disney world?

Last time I went to Disney, during Honey, I Shrunk the Audience when they got to the part with the mice, I raised my feet off the ground and kind of crouched myself into my seat. The woman sitting next to me turned toward me and looked at me like I had two heads. But when everyone started getting th...

 As the Runaway Railway song goes, "No one can stop us now [from buying a 20 oz soda that is $4.50 and also a $70 sweatshirt]." Regret nothing in the parks ,my dude. Except the turkey leg, but not for financial reasons. Haha I thought I was the only one. Turkey legs can sometimes caus...

Re: Universal-only trip?

I did it once. My family and I won a free trip to Universal for 4 through the NY Daily News and I actually had a great time. We went for four days and three nights in June and it really wasn't that crowded (except on our last day, which was a Saturday) True, a lot of the rides were very similar (3D ...

Re: What is the FIRST thing you do at WDW?

We'd usually spend the first part of the first day at the hotel, getting settled, having lunch, going in the pool, etc. We would then go to Magic Kingdom around the mid afternoon, just in time for the parade. (Last time I went, it was still the Share a Dream Come True Parade) After that, our first r...

Re: can never change.

I'd say pretty much all the ones that Walt approved of should never be changed/removed

Pirates
Jungle Cruise
Haunted Mansion
Peter Pan
It's a Small World

If you ask me, to remove those would sort of be an insult to Walt's memory

The engine noise at the Tomorrowland Speedway I never really thought about this but it's a good one ...most people complain about the fumes! I wonder if/when they go electric if they'll keep the "sound" ..otherwise it would be a pretty quiet ride Honestly, I hope they never go electric. T...

Re: Disney's River Country

I was there when I was a kid. My recollection of it isn’t the best. We had breakfast nearby, maybe at Trail’s End. Then we went to River Country. I had never been to a water park and I was very excited. It was ahead of its time. It felt like an offshoot of Tom Sawyer Island, it had that type of fee...

Re: Disney's River Country

I was pretty little when I went with my family, but I remember going a few times since we stayed at the camp ground a lot and it being fun. Years ago there was a rumor (from a CM at the campground) they were going to revamp it and make it into a pool/water park area for the campground only...that o...

Disney's River Country

Did anybody ever get the chance to go to River Country? If so, how was it? I never got the chance to go and I'm curious about what it was like. I've seen videos on YouTube of the park when it was in its heyday and it looked like it was a lot of fun. Feel free to share any experiences that you've had...
