Re: Any Kennywood Park fans out there?

LOVE IT! Was sad to have missed last year with all the COVID craziness, but can't wait to go this year once we are finished with our vaccinations. 'Twas always a favorite of mine growing up, and will always hold a special place in my heart!

Re: Place for Central PA hoppers to hang out!

I lived in Central PA for several years before moving back to 'Burgh a couple of years ago. Miss being so very close to Hershey, and some other Central PA greats! Hello everyone! Wishing you all well!

Re: Hersheypark

For a few years, my now hubby & I lived very close to Hershey. I had been several times growing up, but found that while we were living there, our favorite time of year was to go for the Halloween events throughout October. We don't mind the cold, so even though we missed the water rides, the cr...

Re: When is your next trip?

We have our delayed honeymoon (now 1st Anniversary) trip booked in November! 1st trip for my hubby (10th for me), and I'm excited to show him the magic of WDW (albeit a bit different right now)! Have a great time! My husband had never been when we went for our 5th Anniversary, he loved it and we ha...

Re: Never Again

Pinocchio Village Haus Theming in there is cool. Food is atrocious. We've tried this place 3 times spread across the years, and all three times, the food was the worst I've ever had at Disney, and pretty much anywhere else. And it comes with the Disney $ Tag, so it's definitely not worth paying for ...

Re: Favorite Land Theming!!

Asia & Africa in Animal Kingdom Tomorrowland (cause I'm a big fan of the retro atomic-age aesthetic) Adventureland I'm looking forward to seeing Pandora (which I have a feeling I will love) & Toy Story Land when I go in November. Pandora was being worked on when I was there last, so I didn't...

Re: What is the FIRST thing you do at WDW?

Usually I try to travel down the night before our first park day. If that's not an option, then we usually come down mid-late afternoon the day before our first park, and head to Disney Springs after checking in at the resort. BUT IDEALLY, we get in the first night, late, grab dinner & settle in...

Re: The sounds of Disney!

The music in Tomorrowland & EPCOT. The music just before Illuminations ( :( ) was about to begin. The music in the Africa area of Animal Kingdom. The music on the escalator down from Space Mountain. The little "ding" from the Magic Bands at the queues (although this is a much newer rem...

Re: The smells of Disney

The water of Pirates. The water of Maelstrom (I haven't ridden the Frozen ride--call me jaded, but I loved the Maelstrom, and I don't want to see it any other way). The Mexico Pavilion. The smell of Haunted Mansion (as soon as you enter the stretching room). The smell of Space Mountain. Soarin' &...

Re: 50s prime time or sci-fi

Sci-Fi Dine In Theater. We went on my second time to Disney as a young kid, our family loved it, and I have made sure that we hit up that restaurant every time were are there. 50s Prime Time is okay, but the food is rather boring (in my opinion--I know that's not everyone's opinion, and obviously no...

Re: Keto While at Disney

I do the super-low carb food as well, and was just there in December for 10 days. Table service restaurants are the most accommodating. Amazing meal at Le Cellier, cheddar cheese soup and steak! Teppan Edo provided extra veggies and salad instead of rice or noodles. Just let the server know when or...

Re: What is the benifit of buying and using gift cards

Just seeing what is here, I think it should be noted that there seems to be a $1,000 cap on each Disney gift card. Also, Disney was able to make new e-Gift Cards for us when we had to cancel our trip due to COVID-19, and we only had one of the gift cards left (mistake I'll not be doing again). They ...

Re: What do you pack for Disney World?

I never go without: ~Hand sanitizer (even before COVID) ~Poncho--I like reusable ones, but that's just me. They tend to be a higher quality, and I like to reduce my waste as much as I can. There are some great & VERY compact reusable ones out there on the market, and they dry very quickly. The ...

Re: Caribbean Beach Resort

Looking forward to staying here for my rescheduled honeymoon in November! I stayed there 8 or 9 years ago, and we stayed in the Pirate rooms, which were quite cool, though my only complaint then was how far they were located from everything (of course this was well before the Skyliner, which would ...
