Re: Riviera vs Polynesian Resorts

I need some help with deciding between two resorts for an adult Disneyworld vacation. I am wanting proximity to all the parks and best restaurant options (in restaurant dining and to go). The choices are between Riviera and the Polynesian resorts. Thank you. Not sure if you are still deciding, but ...

Re: Favorite Theme Park

EPCOT is my fave park. I think it has something to do with being older  There's something classic about it and it stands out to me. It's definitely much more low-key than MK. I think it has to be with Sorain and Test Track being my fave rides. I can't even say I like it because of the "adu...

Re: Skyliner resorts and buses

That's somehwat true. They will definitely encourage you to get on the skyline vs. waiting for the bus. That was my experience in staying at Caribbean beach. The sign for the bus times showed "Skyliner" under EPCOT for example so we just waited for it. *found an image online to show what I...

Re: Disney Genie launches officially on 10/19/21 at WDW

Interesting that the prices will change based on the season/day Prices will vary by date, attraction and park. For example, the Lightning Lane entrance to Remy's Ratatouille Adventure will be $9 per person on October 19 and $11 per person on October 23. As another example, on both those dates, Light...

The comments from current APs are not that great... an increase plus losing the Photo Pass seems a bit harsh imo.

Re: Where would you stay on a solo trip?

I would say Riviera or Caribbean Beach Resort. I found the benefits of staying near the skyline to be really attractive. You can explore & try new foods, or you can get over to HS/Epcot pretty quickly. If you're on a budget, Pop Century isn't bad, the quick-service food got a bit boring after a ...

Disney Genie+ service (available for purchase): For the price of $15 per ticket per day at Walt Disney World Resort and $20 per ticket per day at Disneyland Resort, choose the next available time to arrive at a variety of attractions and experiences using the Lightning Lane entrance. You can make o...

Re: Is it worth it?

The fact that you're going to have your own car means you probably won't need Magical Express & you can bypass needing to be close to transportation options. If you plan to be at the parks all day or if it's a brief trip I would say skip it, or stay at a value resort if there's room. Staying off...

Re: Any chance of reopening the other resorts soon?

I am planning my fall and winter trips to WDW and I am noticing that it's really hard to book a room for after September. Almost impossible for less than $400 per night. All Star resorts, Pop are almost completely booked. I found a couple weeks in there that Pop is open but at over $225 per night a...

50th Anniversary Update (June '21)

What are everyone's thoughts on the latest updates from Disney this morning about the 50th? I think it all sounds so amazing! I'm really curious about the Animal Kingdom daytime show In case you missed it: new fireworks show, Harmonious date, new daytime show at AK, new gold sculptures & new cav...

My family hadn't been in a while, and then we visited a few years ago and we started going almost 2x/year. It's like we were hit with the Disney bug. It's just so convenient when it comes to planning activities & there is usually something new every time we visit. Haven't been able to find time ...

I definitely understand not wanting to shell out so much for less of the experience. I wonder if people are banking on the fact that the event may continue to expand with restrictions being eased? Not sure. I read about the difficulty of getting tickets on a few blogs which is also interesting.

I think because they're not doing temp checks etc. & the social distancing is allegedly changing, they probably have to update some of the signs. Touchy subject for some but I know some people will be relieved with whatever the new guidelines are!

Re: Favorite Mode Of Transportation

It was a toss-up between monorail and skyline. They both give great scenic views and I like the narration aspect. I love the convenience of the skyline especially when staying at a hotel near those stations, you get whisked away, and then you're at the park. I'm a bit wary when it comes to heights b...

I'm wondering if things are going to continue to be released over the course of the anniversa...
