Ratatouille Ride Quick Impressions
Hey everyone! I was lucky enough to catch Cory's morning stream of the D23 preview of the new Ratatouille ride in Epcot. They say first impressions are everything, so here are mine (I'll try not to give too many spoilers): >>The courtyard is very well done with tons of little things to look at. The ...

Re: Mears connect coming Jan 2022 to fill in
Great news! I just knew Mears wouldn't let that source of revenue die. They just need to keep it at a price that nearly everyone can afford. As for the luggage, I've schlepped my bags through airports all over the world, so it's not a big deal for me. I worried more about my bags when they WEREN'T w...

Re: Club Cool lives!
So glad Club Cool is returning! It's a nice 20 min. break to go there & sample some international beverages. My only complaint/observation is the floor. Stickiest surface in all of WDW. They need to use that on the NASCAR tracks! They'll never slide & crash!

Re: love the mask rule change whats next?
My guess would be that they're working hard for an Independence Day return for the fireworks. That would give them enough time now to get everything working right, and do some real-life testing beforehand, and make a big splash (no pun intended) on the 4th. It also would allow almost 3 months for &q...

Really? No interest at all in this. More is not always better. Disney hasn't figured that out quite yet. My teeth hurt just looking at that picture! Dasani, please.

Re: What’s the most relaxing thing to do in Disney?
With the exception of falling asleep in my hotel room with a full stomach, hot shower, and a cold drink after a full day at the parks, I'd say spending some time wandering the Oasis or the exploration trails at AK & watching the animals just being themselves. I still think I'd rather spend time ...

A cruise on the Liberty Belle is always a nice way to relax at MK. Taking a break at Aunt Polly's on TSI in one of those comfy chairs is good too! Just don't fall asleep in one like I did!

Re: People mover
While I want to believe that they're still working all the bugs out, the cynical part of me says that the April 4th reopening can't quite be made because of some minor thing, maybe a week late or so, and Disney pushed the reopening back to May just to be safe. Now, when they open it before the revis...

Re: Phrases That Only Make Sense at Disney
"We just saw lions on our safari, and this afternoon we're headed to Everest!"* *I know both of these are technically attractions, but since they're also both words describing things in the real world (which wouldn't normally be on the same continent!), I'm bending the rules a little bit,...

Phrases That Only Make Sense at Disney
After watching many streams over the last year, one thing popped into my head - how phrases & sayings we take for granted when we hear them at WDW would sound in the "real world". For example, someone in the chat last night asked "How many ears do you have Jenna?", and of cou...

Didn't Walt try something like this back in the '60's in CA? I believe it failed impressively.

My MK 'quick lunch' of course - a Dole Whip float & a couple of cheeseburger spring rolls please! Of course, the downside is that I'd have an overwhelming desire to ride Pirates right after I finished!

Re: Pecos Bills
The previous posters were pretty much correct. Pecos Bill's is just fine, but it's not really "mexican food'. More like mexican inspired. Save the craving for Epcot, where the Mexico pavillion offers far better mexican food than any place at MK. Some of the non-park restaurants have some really...

Yay Moppers! We don't get to see it much, but I bet you have to deal with some......interesting......individuals trying to ruin the party or get a reaction. Some people just can't grasp the concept of Family Friendly. Keep up the good work & diligence!

Most Polarizing Food at WDW
Love it, Hate it. What are some of the most polarizing foods at WDW? My #1 pick would have to be the turkey leg. A meatsicle! Lots of people love 'em. Smells wonderful, looks pretty tasty, and the first bite or two is really good, but after that, at least for me, is pretty much nothing but grease &a...

Re: Favourite Queuing Experience
Don't have a particular one for myself, but my friend Ian had the absolute best experience ever in a que at WDW - He was waiting with his family in the Everest que back when the 'Year of a Million Dreams' promotion was going on, and a group of Disney "suits" came up to them & told them...

Re: Animal Encounters
I was at Flame Tree for lunch one trip, and I had a rather interesting encounter with a duck there. I had received my food, headed down to one of those dining areas near the water, sat down & was just beginning to enjoy my meal. There was a young family - mom, dad, and 2 kids about 4 & 6 sit...

Re: Josh’s Premier Video!! (2-15-21)
Man, that ws a great video. Kindled some long-forgotten memories of the buildup of anticipation I always had as a kid. We never stayed on property, so we always drove into WDW, parked at the TTC, and usually took the ferry over to MK (Dad always said the line was too long for the monorail). Loved th...

1St trip was in 1975, after HS Graduation, with the family, It was hot and humid. Only Magic Kingdom was there, we stayed at the contemporary in the south garden wing. We had reservations at the top of the world, for dinner and performance, saw Donald O'Connor and Rosemary Clooney (George Clooney's...

OK, Josh needs to have a squirt gun loaded & ready for the first TTA ride with the gang after it reopens. Don't tell anyone, and then whip it out & squirt everyone (lightly, of course) and tell them you're trying to "recreate" that epic TTA moment! :o :P  Own that monsoon, Josh!

Re: Show your ResortTV1 Appreciation!
I'd rather spend a Friday evening with the ResortTV1 gang than watch anything the major networks have to offer. Of course, being a huge Disney fan makes me just a little bit biased. When I think about how I'd love to do the same thing, I have to remember all the time, effort, and $$ they have invest...
