Goodbye

After much thought I have canceled our June trip. Disney has successfully priced me out of their customer base. I know that I will not be happy, on the outside looking in, so I’m going to quit cold-turkey. Thanks to all of you on this forum, and ResortTv1 Also, thanks to DFB on YouTube, Jim and Len ...

I am a WDW fan…

I am looking forward to one last Magical Express ride in December.

I am looking forward to the walkway from MK to GG, even
though I’m not staying at GF.

I will purchase Disney themed holiday Crocs.

What will you do?

RCMC…random cast member chance.

Depends on the mood of the guard.

But, I would guess a couple of hours my be reasonable. You can claim you’re going to shop before your meal.

DME runs 24 hours, just make sure your flight info is correct, in the letter/email you’ll get the day before departure

Re: Genie and Lightning Lane

Genie is their planning/wait times app. Genie+, cost $15/day/person. You get to reserve one Lightning Lane access, some time before your day(I’m not sure when), then additional Lightning Lane usage throughout the day, much like the old 4th, 5th, 6th…etc, of the old system. 2 or 3, top attractions in...

Re: Flying, Driving, Teleporting?

The demise of DME changes the economics of flying, and with airfare likely to go up, we will probably make the 11 hour drive(three adults to trade off) next spring.

With all the other price increases, this is our last visit.

I enjoyed many solo trips, mostly Pop, some Ft Wilderness. If I splurge, in the future, I would like to visit Riviera or Beach Club.

Do they have their own MDE accounts? If so, I believe they must approve you to make plans for/with them.

Re: How Often Do You Travel To Disney?

Back in the day, when I lived about 700 miles from the world, We would drive down for a one week trip every two years. Then when the kid went off to college, I increased to once a year solo week. Then Magical Express, a discount airline, and annual pass, I went berserk with 5 or 6 trips a year. One ...

Re: Your Recommendation Please!

I am not familiar with the covid menus, but pre covid I would have choosen...

1) Liberty Tree
2) Skippers
3) leave MK for any TS at GF or WL
4) go hungry
5) Tony's

... as always, check the menus online, and have a magical day.

Re: Picky Kids over age 9 & Table Service Restaurants

Anyone can order off the kids menu, except buffets and other Pri Fixe menus. I have not noticed the portions being any larger. As far as picky eaters, we had luck with appetizers, once we convinced them that they didn’t have to eat the whole thing, just try one, they began to try new things and some...

Re: Hotel Advice Needed

Look at Fort Wilderness Cabins. When the kids were smaller, we would cook breakfast in, to save money, making the overall rate doable.

When they got to big for the cabin bunk beds, we switched to two connecting rooms at Pop.

Re: Have you driven to WDW?

Many times, 10-12 hours. We got a discount airline, and Magical Express, just about the same time that I got to old to sit in a car for that long, so I got an AP and started taking three and four day weekends. And now that we've moved further away, I don't think I'll ever go back to driving.

Polo style and Hawaiian/camp style shirts. I'm not a T-shirt person, so I would buy collared, resort and attraction themed, shirts. In 2xl.
