Re: Disney Genie App
Genie+ is similar to what Maxpass used to be at Disneyland. The top-tier passes had it included though. You could also add it to an AP for a one time fee. It also included photopass. I haven't seen anything mentioned about how they will treat this with Genie+ though. The big difference from MaxPass...

Re: Annual Pass Returning. BIG NEWS.
We will be exchanging our AP vouchers for Platinum passes when we come out to WDW at the end of the month. We had Premier passes and moved to Platinum when Disneyland dropped their APs. Our hope is they will have another bi-costal pass and we can upgrade to that. The rumor from a CM is they are work...

Re: Is it worth it to stay at a deluxe resort?
We prefer to stay in Deluxe resorts. For us, part of the vacation is the resort itself so we will pay the extra money. DVC rentals are a great option to save some money. Deluxe resorts have better food options and all but AKL are close to at least one park which makes for easier transportation optio...

Re: What is your top favorite seasonal attraction?
Haunted Mansion Holiday for sure. I also really like both the Food and Wine, and the Holiday Food events at DCA if you can call it an attraction. Dapper Days event too as long as I am breaking the rules and throwing events into the mix

Re: New Florida Residents and Annual Passes
That is some bad timing for sure. I would be bummed too. Such a big life change and then.... wham! We are feeling some of the pain too. We have Premier passes. Disney has canceled the Disneyland portion of our passes and offered us the opportunity to buy FL passes. I believe we have to buy the Plati...

Getting ready tp Hop around the World
Our trip is coming up. Friends are joining us. It will be their first time at WDW. I made up some lanyards for a fun day at Epcot. A twist on "Drink Around the World" these lanyards have snacks or drinks to check off (or both? ) for each country. I am changing one of the Grogu lany...

Re: New WDW Passholder Magnet
Are the AP magnets as big a deal out in WDW as they are on the West coast? I just saw WDW is dropping another magnet 2/22 - 3/19. Just in time for our trip out there. :D It is Donald again. We have a few different Donalds already. We just missed Figment last year and we were hoping for one this yea...

Only in our resort room. And only on the day we leave. I have to be dragged out of there kicking and screaming!

Re: New security questions
Do you still need to empty your pockets for the new scanners? Usually no - there are certain things that may set off the scanners. I know security has told us umbrellas, battery packs and metal water bottles often set off the scanner and they recommend taking them out of your bag and holding them a...

Re: Hours ?
They have been extending them out a few weeks in advance. We will be there the first week of March and they announced just last week they added an hour to each of the parks. Epcot and MK had an hour added on at night (8 pm and 7 pm respectively). AK and HS had an extra added in the am.

Re: What is the FIRST thing you do at WDW?
We fly in from the West coast so we don't arrive until late afternoon or early evening. The first day for us is usually dinner and relaxing around the resort. If we need to renew the Tables In Wonderland card we will go to guest services at the nearest park to get it taken care of.

Extended Park Hours for March
We were excited to see WDW has extended park hours for our trip in March. We thought they might, given their recent history. Each park has added an hour. It looks like Epcot, MK have added an extra hour at night while HS and AK have added an extra hour in the morning. Still, 8 pm sounds kinda early ...

That is one of my fears -- Having it stop and when you need to use the RR. i get the restroom but never really have worried about it. i always think its worth the risk It doesn't cause me too much worry but sometimes we are coming back after having dinner and drinks. Could be a problem if it stops ...

I am not so sure I can give up the San Diego weather for Orlando weather. The cost of living in SoCal is high though, so maybe that could persuade us.

Re: Anyone have no interest?
We love Harry Potter so we like going to Universal. We used to have passes to Hollywood but have only been to Universal Orlando once. We discussed going to Universal maybe every third trip to Orlando. After Magical Express ends we might go more often. Magical Express just made it so easy to stay at ...
